Creating an agent
What the setup asks for
Go to Agents and click Create agent. The setup has six steps:
Name
What your team calls the agent, for example "Front desk" or "After-hours line", and a short description of what it handles.
Your business
Your business name, industry, website, email and address, and what your business does: services, prices callers ask about, and anything else the agent should know.
Personality
The receptionist's name, its voice, tone and speaking style.
Call handling
Transfer contacts (the people urgent callers can be put through to) and the maximum call length.
Business hours
Your opening hours for each day and your time zone.
Bookings and review
Whether the agent books appointments on the call, and the hours it can book within. You can also choose whether calls are recorded and transcribed. Then check everything and click Create agent.
Agents speak English on calls.
Tip: you can change everything later. Start with the basics and refine the agent as you hear real calls.
