Integrations

3 guides and 7 common questions.

Google Calendar

Connect Google Calendar

Organization admins can connect Google Calendar:

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations.
  2. Click Connect Google.
  3. Sign in with your Google account and allow calendar access.
  4. You return to Settings with the calendar connected. Choose which calendar to use under Book into.

Security: the connection uses Google's OAuth sign-in. BookifyCall never sees your Google password.

What it does

  • Lets the agent check your free time before it offers a slot
  • Creates a calendar event for each new appointment
  • Adds the customer as a guest and attaches a Google Meet link

Disconnect

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations.
  2. Click Disconnect next to Google Calendar.

Note: disconnecting doesn't delete events already on your calendar. New appointments just stop being added.

Webhooks

Add a webhook

Webhooks send call, lead and appointment events to your own systems as they happen. They're included on the Enterprise plan, and organization admins set them up.

  1. Go to Settings → Webhooks.
  2. Click Add webhook.
  3. Enter your endpoint URL. It must start with https://.
  4. Choose the events it should receive.
  5. Click Add webhook, then copy the signing secret. It is only shown once.

Use Send test to check that your endpoint receives deliveries.

Verifying deliveries

  • X-Webhook-Signature: sha256=… is an HMAC-SHA256 of the raw request body, keyed with your signing secret. Check it before you trust the payload.
  • X-Webhook-Id is the event ID. Retries reuse it, so you can ignore duplicates.
  • X-Webhook-Event names the event.

Payload

  • id: the event ID
  • event: the event type, such as call.completed or lead.created
  • timestamp: when the event happened
  • organization_id: your organization
  • data: the event details

Recent deliveries

The Webhooks section lists recent deliveries with their status and HTTP response code. Once your endpoint is fixed, click Replay on a failed delivery to send it again.

API keys

Create an API key

API keys let your own systems, such as a CRM or your website, use BookifyCall without signing in. They're included on the Enterprise plan, and organization admins manage them.

  1. Go to Settings → API keys.
  2. In New API key, give the key a name.
  3. Optionally restrict it to one agent.
  4. Choose its scopes. Read-only scopes are selected by default.
  5. Click Create key and copy the key. It is only shown once.

Requests authenticate with an X-API-Key header.

Keeping keys safe

  • Create one key per connected system, so you can revoke one without breaking the others.
  • Grant only the scopes a system needs. Write scopes are never selected by default.
  • Never put keys in browser code or public repositories.
  • If a key may have leaked, click Revoke straight away and create a new one.

Common questions

How do I connect Google Calendar?

An organization admin goes to Settings → Integrations → Google Calendar → Connect, signs in with Google, and grants permissions. New appointments then sync automatically.

How do webhooks work?

Webhooks POST real-time event data (calls, leads, appointments) to your https endpoint. Admins add an endpoint URL and choose events in Settings → Integrations; each delivery is signed with your signing secret.

How do I verify a webhook came from BookifyCall?

Compute the HMAC-SHA256 of the raw request body using your signing secret and compare it with the X-Webhook-Signature header (sha256=<hex>).

What if my endpoint was down?

Failed deliveries appear in the delivery log under Custom Webhooks. Once your endpoint is fixed, click Replay to send them again.

Can I disconnect an integration?

Yes, an admin can click "Disconnect" in Settings → Integrations. Existing calendar events are not deleted, but new appointments won't sync.

What data is sent in webhook payloads?

Each payload includes the event id, event type, timestamp, your organization id, and the event data. The data structure depends on the event type.

What are API keys for?

API keys let your own systems access BookifyCall without a login. Create them in Settings → API Keys, grant only the scopes you need, and revoke any key you no longer use.
